Today’s drink of the day is the James Cocktail. It is found in the book published in 1931 by Albert Stephens from the notebook compiled by Joseph Taylor while he tended bar at the Waldorf Hotel between 1894 and 1920. If you like the Camparinete Cocktail (a.k.a. Negroni Cocktail, if you must), you will probably like the James Cocktail. Try it both ways – with, and without, sugar – and let me know which you prefer.
